Wilpattu

Wilpattu National Park is one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka. The unique feature of this park is the existence of "Willus" (natural lakes) – sand-rimmed water basins that fill with rainwater. The park spans 1,317 square kilometres and ranges from sea level up to 152 metres.
